You had the pleasure of witnessing this U.S. death metal icon, established in 1988 and universally recognized as one of the prime innovators of the genre, live on MGCDF already once on the fourth installment in 2012. At that time, their current album was the sixth full-length “Blood Oath”, released in 2009, but things moved ahead with full speed afterwards. Already in the year of their performance on our festival, the band released a new single “As Grace Descends”, followed in 2013 by a brand new studio album “Pinnacle of Bedlam”. Now SUFFOCATION return to us with its successor, the eighth full-length “…of the Dark Light”, which was released this June, and though the band line-up welcomed a new drummer and a new guitarist, the outcome lost nothing of its prowess. Quite the contrary, “…of the Dark Light” album is considered the most brutal SUFFOCATION material since the times of the “Effigy Of The Forgotten” debut. Thus, on MGCDF 2018 you will not be denied a hefty dose of acoustic devastation, whereby we hope you will give SUFFOCATION a helluva welcome back!
